An overview of the Table Operations toolset

The Table Operations toolset provides a series of tools that allows you to manage and enrich your attribute tables. Currently these tools include those that will allow you to enrich your tables with such additional attributes like areal and linear parameters, coordinates, statistics and to export tables to other file formats.

The following table lists the tools available in the Table Operations toolset and provides a brief description of each.

Tool

Description

Add X, Y, Z Coordinates

Adds X, Y, Z coordinates to the attribute table of point, polyline or polygon features.

Add X, Y, Z Coordinates Batch

Adds X, Y, Z coordinates in a batch mode to the attribute table of multiple point, polyline or polygon layers.

Aggregate Features/Records

Aggregates features or records according to the specified parameters and creates new feature class or attribute table.

Calculate Area Batch

Calculates area for multiple polygon layers and stores area values in the attribute tables.

Calculate Geometry

Calculates perimeter and area values (including hectares and acres) for polygons and length for polylines.

Calculate Length Batch

Calculates length for multiple polyline and polygon layers and stores length values in the attribute tables.

Delete Multiple Fields

Deletes multiple attribute fields at a time from attribute tables.

Export Table to File

Exports attribute or standalone tables to Microsoft Excel .xlsx, CSV text or HTML files.

Feature Statistics (append fields)

Calculates basic statistics for features and appends new fields to the input feature class.

Feature Statistics (new feature class)

Calculates basic statistics for features and writes it to the new feature class.

Feature Statistics (new table)

Calculates basic statistics for features and writes it to the new table.

Find Duplicates

Finds, indexes and optionally removes duplicated features/records.

Frequency

Calculates number of occurrences of each unique field values for the selected fields and creates a new table with the frequency field and selected summary fields.

Sort Features/Records

Sorts features/records in the input feature class/table based on the selected field(s). The sorted output is written to a new dataset.

Table Statistics

Calculates statistics for selected attribute fields and writes it to the new table.
