About Aggregating Features/Records

 

 

Purpose

 

The Aggregate Features/Records tool is meant for aggregation of records or features according to the specified parameters.

 

Description

 

The tool allows aggregating input features or records using selected aggregation "Group by" field(s).

Aggregate Features/Records allows extracting and grouping unique records only in selected fields, defining aggregation functions for other source fields, creating a new table that contains aggregated data and (if possible) determining output geometry for it.  

Thus Aggregate Features/Records is a wizard that consists of the following basic steps:

 

1. Selecting input data

2. Selecting "Group by" fields for aggregation

3. Defining aggregation functions and output aggregation geometry

4. Selecting output data

 

Using "Aggregate Features/Records" Tool

 

The option of this tool is available in the list of XTools Pro Table Operations, if there is at least one feature layer or standalone table in the TOC window. Click on the tool icon in the list of XTools Pro Table Operations to open the Aggregate Features/Records wizard:
