Extract Map: Defining extraction boundaries

 

 

After the "Extract Map" wizard is launched you can select boundaries of an area to be extracted. There are following ways provided to specify boundaries:

 

• By current extent

- Allows to extract by the current extent in ArcMap

 

• By selected graphics

- Allows to extract by selected graphics objects in the map. This option is only available if there are any graphics added and selected in the map.

 

• By selected features in layer

- Allows to extract by selected polygon features in the selected polygon layer. This option is available if there are any features selected in any polygon layer.

 

• Copy data

- Allows to copy data as is, with no clipping or extraction.

 

The "Clip features" option allows enabling/disabling clipping features while extracting data.
