XTools Pro - extension for ArcGIS

Originally developed as a set of useful vector spatial analysis, shape conversion and table management tools for ArcView GIS 3.x. XTools extension was then converted by Data East to ESRI ArcGIS environment and now is re-designed, enhanced and extended as XTools Pro to get to the newer level of functionality and performance.

Latest version – XTools Pro 6.1

XTools Pro 6.1 is a minor upgrade, following new features and changes have been introduced in this version:

Metadata Editor
  • - now supports metadata for MXD documents
  • - extended templates with pre-customized parameters
  • - new customizable settings for tracking revision history
  • - partial save and undo for unsaved edits
  • - option to move metadata panels
  • - cleanup function, for all panels or for the selected panel

Extract Map
  • - now supports metadata for MXD documents
  • - annotations in the geodatabases and maps now supported
  • - graphic objects in the maps now supported
  • - better support for MXD properties
  • - better support for labels in the maps
  • - SDE rasters now supported

Identify Pro
  • - support for coded values has been added

Start editing selected layer
  • - the icon on the toolbar is now disabled if the selected layer
      cannot be edited

Import Data from KML
  • - now informs if there is nothing to import from the selected
      KML/KMZ file

Find Duplicates GP tool
  • - a new geoprocessing function has been added to the
      XTools Pro toolbox

XTools Pro toolbox
  • - now again can be used from ArcCatalog

SDE Output

  • - now you can output results to SDE tables

Installer

  • - new Inno Setup installer is used

  • - minor bug fixes and enhancements

Early versions licenses are not valid for XTools Pro 6.x

ArcGIS compatibility
XTools Pro 6.x is compatible with ArcGIS 9.2 and 9.3 versions, including the most recent 9.3.1 release. Please consider earlier XTools Pro versions for using with the older ArcGIS 9.1/9.0 and ArcGIS 8.x versions.
